Terms

Commercial terms for a local Windows utility: license scope, support process, and risk allocation in plain English.

These terms sit alongside the FileTally EULA. They explain the commercial side of using the product: purchases, support, refunds, acceptable use, and the baseline disclaimer and limitation-of-liability position.

License

Your FileTally purchase grants the right to use the app under the plan, seat count, and activation limits tied to that purchase. The purchase confirmation, license email, activation state, and support record define the entitlement that applies to your account.

Do not use FileTally for unlawful activity, abusive automation, or attempts to bypass licensing controls.

Acceptable use and review responsibility

FileTally is a utility for counting pages and exporting indexes. You remain responsible for deciding whether any estimated, fallback, blank, or error rows require manual handling before you rely on the output in a legal, records, claims, or operational workflow.

FileTally is not a substitute for legal advice, evidentiary review, matter strategy, or professional judgment.

Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed manually. If a refund is approved, associated license access may be revoked or replaced based on the specific support outcome and the purchase history tied to that license.

Contact support before disputing a purchase so we can correct a license delivery or activation problem directly.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

FileTally is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileTally disclaims warranties and limits liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages.

The FileTally EULA also limits total liability to the amount paid for the applicable license during the prior twelve months.

Availability, support, and changes

  • FileTally is a Windows desktop utility and may change over time as features, pricing, and policies evolve.
  • Documentation on the website is informational and may be updated when the product or support process changes.
  • Support is handled by email for licensing, activation, purchase questions, and replacement requests.
  • Questions about terms, purchasing, or account status should go through support so there is a written record.
