The honest read
Imaging bureaus with TIFF-only backlogs get real value from Tiff Teller's DPI and compression reports, which FileTally doesn't provide, and from its command line. TIFF and PDF Counter runs on a Mac today, which FileTally doesn't yet. But productions, closing files and records transfers mix PDFs with Word drafts, Excel schedules, slide decks and saved email. A TIFF and PDF counter leaves those out of the total. FileTally counts all of them in the same scan and lists anything it couldn't count before you export.
